Families can explore and relax while celebrating Mother’s Day with a tea and talks, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at Cedar River Watershed Education Center near North Bend. Aimed at multi-generational families to help celebrate the mothers in their lives, the day includes naturalist-led slide shows about the watershed at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and leaf print crafts with artist April Richardson from noon to 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served all day.

There is no cost.

Families can enjoy the landscape and discover fun tidbits about moms (human and other) in the Cedar River Municipal Watershed.

The Watershed Education Center is home to a rain drum courtyard and has views of the clear-blue waters of Rattlesnake Lake.

The Cedar River Watershed Education Center is located just east of North Bend at Rattlesnake Lake.
