Join the Master Gardeners Saturday at North Bend Library for a garden talk on growing dahlias.

Bill Grassie, Master Gardener, rose and dahlia enthusiast and wine maker, will speak, 10:30 a.m., June 10 at the library and again at 2 p.m. at the Sammamish Beaver Lake Lodge 25201 SE 24th St. Sammamish, on dahlias, “The Perfect Northwest Flower.”

Grassie is a long time Master Gardener who has trained in both Kansas and Seattle. His first love was roses for their fragrant and spectacular blooms. Since moving to the Northwest he has come to love dahlias. They have most of the benefits of roses, but with the additional benefit of being deer resistant.
