Crews are fixing erosion caused by last winter’s major flooding.
A section of State Route 202 outside Fall City will be fully closed from 5 a.m. Aug. 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 10.
The section is just east of the SR202/SR 203 roundabout. This is the second extended weekend closure for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to complete emergency riverbank repairs needed due to last winter’s flooding.
There will be signed detours via Interstate 90. WSDOT says these detours could add up to 45 minutes, and drivers should plan accordingly.
Crews will also be on site alternating traffic in the work zone from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 11 and 12.
The bank of the Snoqualmie River has erosion damage caused by floods in December 2025 and March 2026. Crews will rebuild the road embankment by placing woody material, boulders, streambed gravel mix and stone fragments, according to WSDOT.
