Dixie Neumann recently joined the local office of the
financial-services firm Edward Jones as a branch
office administrator trainee. Neumann has lived in the Valley for 18 years.
The title of branch office administrator was adopted for this position
at Jones because of the wide range of responsibilities associated with
the job.
“A branch office administrator is not only responsible for the daily
operation of the branch but also must provide top-level client service
and marketing support for my activities,” said Elaine Webber, local
investment representative for the firm.
“On a given day, Dixie’s activities could include processing client
trade transactions, providing clients with receipts for money and securities,
and assisting in the planning of seminars and special promotions.”
Neumann must successfully complete the firm’s in-depth training
program within six months in order to graduate from the trainee
designation into the position of branch office administrator. The program consists
of online modules that are grouped into study weeks. Each study week
ends with a test; there is also a midterm and final exam.
Webber said she was impressed not only with Neumann’s office
skills and efficiency but also with her knowledge of the community. “I know
she will be a terrific asset to our team as we strive to provide our clients
unparalleled personal service,” Webber added.
Neumann is a native of DeMoines, Iowa. She joined Jones after
working as a senior citizen advisor in the Valley. “I am so excited to become a
part of this firm, which has earned the respect and trust of so many
members of our community,” she said.
Neumann is involved in Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce.
With more than 5,000 offices in all 50 states, including two in the
Valley, Edward Jones is the largest financial-services firm in the nation in terms
of offices.
Plans are under way to expand to 10,000 offices in the next decade.
Yet, Jones is the only firm that serves individual investors exclusively,
offering a variety of investments including certificates of deposit, taxable and
tax-free bonds, stocks and mutual funds. The firm traces its roots to 1871
and today serves nearly 3 million clients.
