Horses help soldiers, families heal when Warrior Family Retreat returns to Fall City

Horses make a healing connection when military couples and families reconnect at the Warrior Family Retreat. The equine therapy program returns to the Northwest Natural Horsemanship Center in Fall City this weekend.

Northwest Natural Horsemanship Center, 32925 SE 46th St., Fall City, hosts a weekend of discovery, healing and fun with horses, for warrior families struggling through the challenges of long deployments.

The event is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday to Monday, Aug. 30 to Sept. 1. The event is being held by the NWNHC Family Fund and community and military organizations.
