Mount Si baseball players wrap up season with KingCo All-Star game wins

Gavin Gorrell, Nick Solomon, Justin Lutz, Owen Roche, Matt Dolewski, Jake Simmons and Mason Marenco, all from Mount Si High School, competed in the KingCo All-Star baseball game June 1. Gorrell and Marenco were also chosen to compete in this weekend’s All-State tournament in Yakima.

Seven Mount Si athletes Gavin Gorrell, Mason Marenco, Matt Dolewski, Owen Roche, Justin Lutz, Jake Simmons and Nick Solomon, competed in the All KingCo baseball All-Star game June 1 at Eastlake High School.

The game featured 40 All-Star players from KingCo in a double-header, pitting the 4A players, including Mount Si, against a combined team of 3A and 2A . The 4A boys won both games.

Out of the 40 All-Stars playing, four players from the 4A team, including Gorrell and Marenco, and three players from the 3A/2A combined team were selected as All State and will compete in the All State Baseball tournament, June 10 and 11 in Yakima.
