Registration now open for Boeing Classic Adaptive Golf Clinic

Virginia Mason and the Boeing Classic are hosting the annual Adaptive Golf Clinic Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Snoqualmie Ridge TPC as a way to promote golf as a recreational and rehabilitation activity for people with disabilities.
Tee times for the clinic will be from 1 to 5 p.m., Registration for the clinic is free and due by Thursday, Aug. 11. Register online at boeingclassic.com.
The free clinic serves individuals who have limited mobility due to physical challenges or medical issues. It includes hands-on instruction that pairs the player with a teaching professional and a therapist; instruction in grip, stance, balance and swing; demonstrations of adaptive golf devices and equipment; and extra putting time.
Clinic sponsors are First Swing Golf Clinic, National Amputee Golf Association, Disabled American Veterans Charitable Trust Fund and the Professional Golfers Association (PGA).
The Boeing Classic, an official event on the PGA Tour, is scheduled Aug. 22 to 28 at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge. Over the past decade, the event has raised more than $5.5 million for the Virginia Mason Heart Institute, Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason and numerous charities in the Seattle area.
