Mount Si High School’s Caitlin Maralack is heading to state competition, May 24 and 25 in Pasco.
Teammates Kat Hodgson and Auni Edwards competed in the Bi-District tournament May 16 in hopes of joining Maralack in state competition, but finished short of the top six positions to advance.
The girls qualified for the Bi-District tournament May 9 and 10 at the King Co 4A league tournament at Snohomish, by placing in the top 20 to advance to Bi-District. Maralack placed in the top 3 and was automatically qualified for state. Also golfing for Mount Si at the league tournament were Rachel Warnke, Ashley Miller, and Peyton Smothers.
The Bi-District tournament featured 12 players from KingCo and 12 from GHSL competing for the top six spots and qualification for state.
Maralack earned First Team All KingCo 4A Honors for the season. Hodgson earned an honorable mention.
