Mount Si grad and soccer player chosen for Premier Development League

Mount Si graduate and soccer player Colton Oord has been picked up as one of the first six players for the Dayton Dutch Lions in the Premier Development League (PDL).

Oord grduated from Mount Si in 2015 and now attends and plays for Sterling College in Kansas. He will begin playing for the Dayton Dutch Lions this summer after his first year of college soccer.

The PDL is the highest level of amateur soccer in North America and is one of the stepping stones to make it as a proffesional player in Major League Soccer (MLS) and overseas. Nearly 200 former PDL players has competed in the 2015 United League Soccer Pro Season and 70 percent of all MLS draftees have some PDL experience.
