Imagine Housing will be the guest presenter at the monthly Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, 36005 S.E. Ridge St., Snoqualmie.
The Upper Snoqualmie Valley has experienced unprecedented growth over the past 15 years. Many of our employees are unable to afford to buy or rent here. It adversely impacts our local economy. The situation is not exclusive to our community; it is affecting communities large and small across the country, in virtually every state. Businesses, local governments, developers and community leaders are joining efforts to find workable solutions. Lessening congestion, building greater self-sufficiency, and retaining commerce will help to make us a more vibrant community.
Imagine Housing, a nonprofit Chamber member, has been working to help address the need for affordable housing in the community, through its proposed project in Parcel S20 at Snoqualmie Ridge.
Cost for the luncheon is $30 for members, $35 for non members. Reservations are required. Register at www.snovalley.org.
