Tilth benefit dinner set for May 21

There are more than 30 vegetable, meat, and dairy farms in the Snoqualmie Valley and SnoValley Tilth brings farmers and consumers together to build a thriving local food system. You can be a part of this local food movement, at SnoValley Tilth’s annual Friends of the Fields benefit dinner and auction, starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Cascade Club at Trilogy, in Redmond.

Rub shoulders with local farmers while enjoying a fresh, local dinner, live and silent auctions by auctioneer Adam Pounds, auction games, a dessert dash, and a wine pull.

Chef Garrett Brown of Garage restaurant, will prepare the meal, which will be paired with local wines and beer.

Event sponsors include Garage restaurant, Red Hook Brewery, SnoValley Midwifery and Women’s Health, Bluejay Photography, Osborne Seed Co., Pike Place Market, and GFS Events. Proceeds will benefit Tilth’s farm incubator program “The Experience Farming Project,” the Carnation Farmers Market and other Tilth programs.

SnoValley Tilth actively supports organic and sustainable food production practices throughout the Snoqualmie and Snohomish watersheds. It is a member organization of organic and sustainable farmers, members of the community, and business owners who support local, sustainable agriculture.
