Wildcat girls end season with hard-fought loss to Bothell

Mount Si High School’s girls volleyball team was paired with Bothell in the first round of district tournaments, Saturday, Oct, 31. The Wildcats took the first and fourth rounds, but couldn’t prevail in what junior varsity coach Dave Bachman called “a hard-fought match.”

Game scores were 22-25, 27-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.

Patience Oneal racked up a total of 24 kills in the match, plus an assist, 16 digs and four aces on the serve. Haley Holmberg added 13 kills, an assist, and seven digs to her stats, too.

Harper Click contributed six kills, an assist and five digs, followed by Sophie Click with five kills, an assist, two digs and two aces. Courtney Carr made two kills, 45 assists, 13 digs and served up two aces. Cameron Kendall served three aces and made 28 digs; Amanda Harkleroad scored a kill, seven digs and two aces; and Katie Larson made a kill, two assists, 21 digs and served two aces.

The girls ended the season with a league record of six wins and two losses, and an overall record of 10 wins, six losses.
