Mount Si High School presents Drama Fest, an annual festival of one-act plays, written, directed and performed entirely by students, Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 26 to 28.
A one-act play is an entire play delivered in one act. For Drama Fest, all of the five student-produced shows will be performed on Thursday and again on Friday, at different time slots.
The top three will advance to the Saturday performance. Featured plays include:
• “The Struggles” written by Kendra Thomas, directed by Morgan Myers;
• “I’ll Love you Till Midnight” written and directed by Payton Graves;
• “A Strange Encounter of a Hero’s Journey” written and directed by Kennedy Stinson;
• “Fancy Meeting You Here” written and directed by Maria Erickson; and
• “Alive; Aware” written and directed by Kaitie Gallagher.
Shows are scheduled for 3 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and the top three will run again Saturday at 7 p.m., followed by an awards ceremony.
Tickets are available at the door, and in the school office starting Wednesday.
Cost is $5 for general admission, and $3 for school staff and students for Thursday and Friday. All Saturday tickets are $8.
