Try out for holiday show at North Bend’s Valley Center Stage

Valley Center Stage in North Bend is holding auditions for its Christmas production, “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol.” Audition times are 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Valley Center Stage 119 W. North Bend Way. Callbacks will start at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20.

This production is a blend of the works of two of English literature’s masters, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens. After being presumed dead for three years following his battle with Professor Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls, a hardened Sherlock Holmes resurfaces. He turns his back on the people who need him, but four unexpected callers arrive on Christmas Eve, uncovering clues from his past, present and future.

The cast will include six men, two women, two boys and one girl, performing 27 speaking roles.

“Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol” is written by John Longenbaugh. and will be directed by Alan Wilkie. Show dates are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 4 to 20.
