Rotary grants adding up

The Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley has awarded almost $11,000 in grants to Valley groups this year, benefiting programs for all ages and interests.
This year’s grant recipients include: North Bend Elementary’s PTA, which received $3,445.17; Encompass, $2,294.05; the Hot Meals Program, $2,000; Snoqualmie Valley YMCA, $1,750; the Fall City Historical Society, 750; Mt. Si Food Bank, $500 and Snoqualmie Valley Parks, $250.
Last year, Rotary awarded grants to Mount Si High School, Reach for the Sky, the Mount Si Food Bank, Fall City Food Pantry, Sno-Valley Indoor Playground, Elder Adult Day Services, Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum, Encompass, and Veterans Memorial Park. In 2010 they gave to Mount Si Food Bank, Opstad Elementary School Library and Si View Parks.
Rotary’s annual charity golf tournament, a fundraiser for Rotary programs, will be Friday, July 27, at Mount Si Golf Course.
