Fall City Elementary students made the equivalent of a cross-country journey in October, as they helped raise more than $47,000 for their school.
The PTSA-sponsored annual fundraiser had 577 students participating. On October 10, they walked for two hours, for a combined total of 24,550 laps, or 3,069 miles. More than 100 parents and family members also volunteered to help put on the 13th annual event.
Fall City Elementary’s PTSA has a fund-raising goal of $70,500 this year.
