The tribe celebrated the construction at a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, May 12. They also released a conceptual design of the project created by Helix Design Group based out of Tacoma.

The project is planned to eventually replace the neighboring Snoqualmie Tobacco Company and Liquor Store and will include a market deli and a drive-up window for tobacco.

“This is an exciting new enterprise for the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe that will build on our values of responsible development while offering new options for travelers and visitors,” Tribal Chairwoman Carolyn Lubenau said in a press release. “Through this project, we look forward to serving the community of Snoqualmie and the members of our tribe while contributing to the economy of the Snoqualmie Valley.”
