Snoqualmie honored for work in county-cities climate partnership

The King County-Cities Climate Collaboration (K4C), which includes Snoqualmie and 12 other cities, has been given the 2016 Climate Leadership Award in the Innovative Partnerships category by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The King County-Cities Climate Collaboration (K4C), which includes Snoqualmie and 12 other cities, has been given the 2016 Climate Leadership Award in the Innovative Partnerships category by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson and other K4C city representatives accepted the award, in recognition of the organization’s work in leading climate initiatives and setting goals for greenhouse gas reduction.

The city of Snoqualmie was a founding member of the K4C in 2011 and has adopted county-wide greenhouse gas reduction targets, installed electric vehicle charging stations in Snoqualmie, increased green power customers by 150 percent and helped promote solar power installations in the city.
