Northwest Railway Museum is seeking volunteer docents for the 2016 train season, April through October.
An integral part of the visitor experience at the Northwest Railway Museum, docents lead visitors through an exploration of the museum, including the historic Snoqualmie Depot, the train shed exhibit building, Conservation and Restoration Center and the scenic train ride.
Docents help visitors understand how the railroad changed everything.
Training for the volunteers will cover how to be an effective guide, through classroom instruction, observation and practice presentations.
No previous experience is needed. Volunteers of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Training dates include an information day March 19, plus sessions on April 2 or 9 and 23, May 14, plus ride-alongs in May and practice dates in June.
