“America the Beautiful” is the theme for the 2016 Northwest Flower & Garden Show, Feb. 17 to 21 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The 28th annual event celebrates the National Parks Service Centennial and famous American landmarks.

More than 20 garden creators will have work on display, including North Bend’s Adam Gorski Landscapes. The company’s display, “Discovering Alaska,” minimizes the distance to Alaska with a skillful depiction of a lowland meadow within Denali National Park.

The show offers multiple opportunities to jump-start gardening experiences and learn about trends. A big line-up of speakers comes to the show to share their knowledge and “how-to” information in 100 hours of presentations. The 2016 show has attracted more than two dozen new speakers from throughout the U.S., Canada and the U.K.; for topics geared for both beginners and veteran gardeners, visit http://www.gardenshow.com/seminars/.

Hours for the show are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday (Feb. 17 to 20) and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 21. The show is made possible by the support of sponsors and partners including Subaru, Corona Tools, Marenakos Rock Center and Sawdust Supply Company.
