The North Bend City Council has scheduled a public meeting, 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Mount Si Senior Center, to solicit input and comments from the public regarding a future comprehensive sewer facility plan.
This will be the first of two public meetings planned to provide information about a study to plan improvements to the city sewers and wastewater treatment plant and to facilitate public participation.
The goal of the study is to prepare a comprehensive sewer facility plan, as required by the State of Washington Administrative Code that will help the city plan for providing reliable sewage collection, treatment and disposal in the city and its Urban Growth Area through the year 2036.
The meeting will focus on alternatives for improving the system, the project cost estimate, and financing strategies. The alternatives will address existing deficiencies and additional facilities needed as the city grows. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share comments or concerns.
