The Bikes for Books awards are part of the school’s comprehensive reading achievement program, in which children are encouraged to read age-appropriate books and two readers are chosen to receive a bike and safety helmet as part of the Masonic Bikes for Books program.

Evidence shows that students participating in the program see improved reading scores.

North Bend Masons sponsor the annual Bikes for Books program with the participation of Singletrack Cycles of North Bend to encourage students to read by contributing bicycles to children participating in reading programs in Snoqualmie Valley elementary schools.
