Square dance planned at school

Grab your partner: Square dancing is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 at Cascade View Elementary School in Snoqualmie.

This event is for beginners and experienced dancers. Square dance caller Cliff Nichols will teach and lead.

“We had a great dance last fall,” event organizer Joan Pliego said. “In our new Snoqualmie location, we’re hoping to have dances more often. Anyone should feel welcome — solos, couples, any age.”

A previous square dance held at Preston drew dancers from age 14 to age 83.

Casual clothes and comfortable shoes are encouraged. No special square dance clothing or shoes are required.

There is a suggested donation of $7 for adults and $3 for ages 18 and under.

Cascade View Elementary School is located at 34816 S.E. Ridge St. in the Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhood. This dance is sponsored by the event organizers, not by the school.
