If you’ve captured an amazing scene with your camera this past year, now is your chance to share that image with the rest of the Valley.

If you’ve captured an amazing scene with your camera this past year, now is your chance to share that image with the rest of the Valley.

If the photo’s good enough, you could win a night’s stay at the Salish Lodge and Spa at Snoqualmie Falls.

For the second year, the Snoqualmie Valley Record is partnering with the Salish for its Reader Photo Contest, with the best entries running in the Wednesday, Feb. 11 edition of the newspaper.

Entries need to be received by Wednesday, Feb. 4 to take part.

The contest puts an emphasis on scenic views of Valley geography, wildlife and nature.

Last year’s contest turned up more than 160 entries from local photographers.

Making the cuts were tough, but the published shots included scenes from all four seasons in the Snoqualmie Valley. Prominent were views of local wildlife, Mount Si and Snoqualmie Falls. Amateur photographers sent in their shots of sun and blowing snow, autumn on the local railroad tracks, a misty morning at a farm pasture, and a rainbow among the tall grass.

To submit your photos in the contest, e-mail them to editor@valleyrecord.com and clearly mark them as contest photos. Submitted photos should be at least 72 dpi and at least 14 inches wide by 11 inches tall. For more information, e-mail to editor@valleyrecord.com or call the Valley Record office at (425) 888-2311.
