The Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Board of Commissioners meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Snoqualmie City Hall, 38624 S.E. River St., Snoqualmie.

At this regular meeting, the board is expected to review and finalize action taken at a Feb. 10 special meeting, to terminate the employment of Hospital Superintendent and CEO, Rodger McCollum.

The special meeting resulted in a split vote to end McCollum’s contract, set to expire in December, with 30 days notice, plus a 90-day severance package. The cost of this action was estimated at $50,000.

The board also held a special meeting, for an executive (closed) session to discuss a personnel issue on Friday. The reason cited for the session was the state law, RCW 42.30.110(g), allowing executive sessions to “evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee.”
