Farmers are invited to a free workshop, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Fall City Library, to learn about renewable energy in agriculture. Find out how to outfit your farm with sustainable energy, and learn about available resources.
Northwest SEED and Pierce Conservation District have partnered with the King Conservation District to assist rural communities in Washington with renewable energy development and energy conservation. This workshop will go over current opportunities such as how to get assistance with grants, utility incentives, tax subsidies and financing support available to help farmers and rural small businesses purchase new energy-efficient equipment or install small-scale renewable energy systems.
