Increase your soil’s fertility and water-holding capacity with hugelkultur. The Fall City Learning Garden presents a free workshop on the gardening method, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10.

Participants can learn about this soil-building permaculture technique while helping to build a planting mound using scrap wood, green prunings, and soil at the Fall City Learning Garden, 4304 337th Pl. S.E. Garden access is from the alley behind the Masonic Hall.

Workshops are free; donations are welcome.
