At 7:56 a.m., a truck heading southbound on S.R. 203, rear-ended the vehicle it had been following, just north of milepost 7. The truck then veered left into oncoming traffic and drove head-on into another vehicle heading northbound.

The driver of the truck was transported to Harborview Medical Center and died on Feb. 26. The driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended was not inured and the vehicle had minor damage. The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to Overlake Medical Center; the vehicle was a total loss.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Webb said that since the driver responsible has died there will likely not be any charges filed.
