False alarm: At 2:36 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to the Eagles Club on Railroad Avenue for a fire alarm. They arrived to find that the building has been evacuated. A heat-duct detector had been activated, triggering the alarm, but the crew found no sign of fire in the ceilings. They reset the alarm and advised the building owner to contact the alarm company to have the detectors serviced.

Debris burning: At 8:34 a.m., firefighters responded to the area of S.R. 18 and Tiger Mountain for a report of smoke in the area. The caller had said a thermal column was clearly visible from S.R. 18 near milepost 22. The caller said he had investigated the column and thought a trailer was on fire. He was unable to confirm that to the authorities. Because of his statement, the crew called for a priority response. They drove down S.R. 18 and found the thermal column near Hobart, but could not determine what was actually burning. Using Google Maps, they contacted the homeowner, who said his employees had been burning debris from a sawmill operation. It appeared that a large amount of flooring was causing the pile to produce black smoke. The homeowner also said he didn’t know the fire was so large — firefighters estimated it to be 20 or 30 feet wide — and said he would extinguish it right away. Firefighters assisted with the process, then turned the scene over to the Maple Valley Fire Department.

Vehicle fire: At 1:46 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with Eastside Fire & Rescue to 128th Street for a reported vehicle fire that was endangering a nearby workshop. The crew arrived to help extinguish and overhaul the vehicle. They searched for possible extension of the fire to the building, but found none.

Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 14 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 680.
