Are you wondering how to attract more woodpeckers and owls, fence out deer or protect pets from bears or cougars?

Learn to create habitat while reducing wildlife conflicts at two-part Enhancing and Managing for Wildlife Habitat Workshops, planned for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 and 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 in Carnation and Issaquah.

Participants can learn from experts on topics ranging from creating a wildlife plan for property, creating snags, bat ecology and installing bat boxes, enhancing nesting habitat and living with mammals. They will also visit a local property to see wildlife features in place and in progress.

The restoration workshop is offered in collaboration with a King County and Partnership for Rural King County project and is funded through an Environmental Protection Agency grant.
