One woman play explores Jazz Age at North Bend’s Valley Center Stage

Snoqualmie actress Denise Paulette reprises the title role in her one woman show, “Zelda,” March 19, 20 and 21 at North Bend’s Valley Center Stage Theatre.

The March 19 performance is a benefit for American Cancer Society fundraiser Relay for Life.

Written by William Luce, “Zelda” depicts the life of Zelda Fitzgerald. As the wife of F. Scott, she found herself his muse for what the novelist wrote about and lived: The Jazz Age.

As a writer, painter and ballet dancer, “Zelda” is her story of passion, wit, determination, and living in one’s art, no matter the situation.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Zelda’s artwork and writings will be on display for the reception before the performance. Admission is $12.50 for adults; $10 for seniors. Tickets can be purchased online at www.valleycenterstage.org or by phone at (425) 831-5667. Valley Center Stage is located at 119 North Bend Way.
