It’s a Wonderful Life: Valley Center Stage holding auditions for live radio play

Valley Center Stage in North Bend is seeking actors for "It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play." Adapted from the classic Frank Capra movie, this play is set in a radio station on Christmas Eve, 1946, where several famous actors have come to perform the show before a live audience. The play will be directed by Margie Slovan. Auditions in Seattle will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 13, at TPS Room C.

Valley Center Stage in North Bend is seeking actors for “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.” Adapted from the classic Frank Capra movie, this play is set in a radio station on Christmas Eve, 1946, where several famous actors have come to perform the show before a live audience.

The play will be directed by Margie Slovan.

Auditions in Seattle will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 13, at TPS Room C.

There will also be auditions at the theatre, in North Bend, on Monday and Tuesday evenings, October 14 and 15 from 7 to 9 p.m.

“It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” opens on Thursday, December 5, and runs through Saturday, Dec. 21. There will be ten performances.

The show will rehearse in North Bend. Rehearsals will be a maximum of three times a week. Carpooling will be available from Seattle. Rehearsals begin October 21. There will be no rehearsals during Thanksgiving week.

This show has a large cast of 51 actors. All adult roles are open. Most actors will be asked to play multiple roles.

Also needed are two sound effects people to perform all the effects live onstage.
