way this summer. With miles of trails and breathtaking views, this is an

Summit Mountain Biking Center offers guided tours or

go-on-your-own biking and hiking trips. Located at Summit Central, a new

high-speed detachable quad chairlift will have you up the mountain in just eight minutes.

Waiting at the top are 25 miles of scenic trails for cross-country

bike riding or rapid paths back to the bottom for downhill enthusiasts.

Bring your own bike or rent one at the center.

If mountain biking is not your passion, maps are provided for

hikers. And according to Summit Mountain Biking Center owner Lou

Dillinger, many people come just to enjoy the panoramic views from the chairlift.

Also new this year is a barbecue food service, featuring a wide

selection of premium meats and side dishes.

The center will be open Fridays, weekends and holidays from

Memorial Day through Labor Day. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.,

with the chairlift running from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Individual tickets are $15 for bikers, $10 for hikers or scenic riders

and $5 for children 5 years and under. Season passes can be purchased

for $89.
