Audience gets into the action in Center Stage’s “Emperor’s New Clothes”

Families in the audience are part of the action in Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” at Valley Center Stage, North Bend.

Audience members become townsfolk, looms rivers, mountains and streams in this retelling. Admission is $7.50.

Show times are 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19.

The adult actors are all veterans of other Valley Center Stage productions. They are Robin Wallbeck-Forrest, Craig Ewing, Becky Rappin, Ed Benson and Rene Schucter.

“This is our first show for young audiences.” says director Gary Schwartz. “We hope to do other shows for kids in the future.”

Valley Center Stage is located at 119 North Bend Way, downtown North Bend on the second floor of the Unity Masonic Lodge above SingleTrack Cycles.
