Mount Si students named to Western International Band Conference honor band

Mount Si High School music students Mary Piekarczyk and Erik Thurston auditioned and were selected to perform with Western International Band Conference (WIBC) Honor Bands this November in Seattle.

Piekarczyk plays clarinet; Thurston plays tuba.

WIBC is a convention for directors and students. Founded in 1979, the convention features four elite 165- member high school honor bands under 6 world-renowned guest conductors and a soloist.
