Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:

Saturday, April 29
Masked man: At 7:34 p.m., an employee at a store in the 200 block of Bendigo Boulevard S, North Bend, reported a suspicious masked man, possibly holding a gun, in the store parking lot. Police contacted the man, who was on a motorcycle. He was wearing a mask because it was cold, and holding a cell phone, while he waited for his girlfriend.
Monday, May 1
Suspicious: At 12:27 a.m., police were called to the 40000 block of SE North Bend Way, North Bend, after two men who had been drinking opened a semitrailer that did not belong to them. Nothing was taken. Officers searched the area but could not find the men.
Tuesday, May 2
Reckless driving: At 1:03 p.m., a man driving a motorized dirt bike at high speeds through a parking lot and onto trails on the 8000 block of Bracken Place SE, Snoqualmie, was reported to police. Officers attempted to contact the subject, but he took off when he spotted the police.
Vehicle prowl: At 6:32 p.m., a vehicle owner reported the theft of several items from an unlocked vehicle parked overnight on SE Leitz Street, Snoqualmie. Items stolen included a laptop, passports and a cell phone.
Wednesday, May 3
Suspicious: At 6:16 p.m., a caller in the 8000 block of Douglas Avenue SE witnessed a man and woman arguing over a phone and called police, suspecting a domestic violence incident. Police arrived and discovered the people were friends, arguing over directions to Snoqualmie Falls.
Thursday, May 4
Suspicious: At 6:50 p.m., police were called to the 400 block of SW Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend, after a caller reported that two people were acting suspicious inside a store. Police found that they were attempting to shoplift, but abandoned their cart and snuck out of the store. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.
Friday, May 5
DUI: At 1:12 a.m., a drunk driver hit the median on Snoqualmie Parkway and Fisher Avenue SE, Snoqualmie, got a flat tire and began driving in the wrong direction. Police caught up to the driver and took him into custody.
DUI: At 4:18 p.m., a caller reported to police that a man who had been drinking was driving a truck and had just pulled into a North Bend drive-through. The caller was waiting by the driveway to note the man’s license plate number, when the truck turned hard and may have hit something. The back left light was hanging off of the truck as he sped through Bendigo Boulevard and drove through a red light before turning into a parking lot. Officers took the man into custody and towed his vehicle.
Juvenile: At 10:48 p.m., officers were called to Fern Avenue SE, Snoqualmie, where they received a call about two children throwing knives. When officers arrived they found the children throwing knives at a tree and asked them to stop.

Friday, May 5
False alarm: At 3:04 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to an automatic fire alarm at Square One, following a large electrical storm. Firefighters arrived and found no sign of fire. They entered the building, which set off the security alarm and summoned Snoqualmie Police. The crew searched the building and found problems, except the alarm panel was briefly displaying information in a foreign language. Eventually, the panel display returned to English and firefighters reset the alarm.
Malfunction: At 8:33 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters returned to Square One for an automatic fire alarm. Upon arrival, the crew was met by the owner stating he didn’t know what the problem was with his alarm. They investigated and found that a beam detector had failed, and could not be reset. They left the system in trouble mode and advised the owner to call a technician.
Saturday, May 6
Smoke alarm: At 12:33 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to a house on Inverness Lane SE for an automatic fire alarm. The alarm was caused by smoke from a homeowner cooking lunch.
Sunday, May 7
Illegal fire: At 9:53 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to Snoqualmie Ridge for a small fire started by some juveniles. Snoqualmie Police met the crew and directed them to a fire burning in an empty retention pond at SE Tibbets Street. Firefighters put out the fire while police attempted to locate the youths responsible for the fire.
False alarm: At 11:32 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to Mount Si High School for an automatic fire alarm. They were met by cleaning staff, who were cleaning up the building after the previous week’s fire near the pottery kiln, and had accidentally set off the alarm. They put the alarm into test mode until the cleaning crew had finished.
Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 13 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 391.
