Blotter | Outdoor burn ignites nearby wood pile; stranded semi shows no signs of fire

Sunday, May 22
Vehicle fire: At 7:32 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire on S.R. 18 near the Tiger Mountain summit. They arrived to find a semi-truck parked in a gravel lot with its hood up but no signs of fire. They determined that the truck had a mechanical failure but there was no issue that required the fire department or State Patrol. The crew left the driver at the scene to arrange for assistance.
Medical aid: In addition, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to seven medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 405.

Friday, May 20
Outdoor burn: At 9:19 p.m., Fall City firefighters were called to a home in the 29000 block of S.E. 8th Street. The homeowner had been burning yard debris and an ember landed on a nearby wood pile, which caught fire. The fire grew and was threatening nearby trees. The homeowner had sprayed the flames with a garden hose, and firefighters assisted in putting out the remains of the fire.
Run over: At 10:15 p.m., the department was called to the 33700 block of S.E. Redmond-Fall City Road to assist a 29-year-old man who’d had his foot run over by a vehicle. They stabilized the injury on site and transported the man to a local hospital for treatment.
Saturday, May 21
Fall: At 1:28 a.m., firefighters were called to a home where a 67-year-old man had fallen and suffered shoulder and knee injuries. The patient was taken via ambulance to a local hospital.
Blood sugar: At 9:40 p.m., firefighters assisted a 79-year-old man who was experiencing symptoms of low blood sugar. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Sunday, May 22
Accident: At 1:40 a.m., the department was called to a motor vehicle accident on S.R. 202 between Fall City and Snoqualmie. A man in his 50s had suffered a facial cut in the accident. The driver of the vehicle arrested by the Washington State Patrol and the passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Tuesday, May 24
Breathing trouble: At 11:24 a.m., firefighters saw a 30-year-old patient who was experiencing shortness of breath. After evaluation, the patient declined further treatment.
Rollover: At 3 p.m., the department responded to the scene of a rollover motor vehicle accident on Lake Alice Road. None of the vehicle occupants were injured but they needed help getting out of the vehicle.
