Interim CEO of the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Tom Parker had his salary bumped up to match that of previous CEO Rodger McCollum at the meeting of the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District’s board of commissioners on Thursday, April 7.
Since the hospital removed Rodger McCollum as the CEO, Parker has served as both chief executive officer and chief operations officer. McCollum was making $14,517 per month when he was dismissed by the board in a Feb. 10 vote, made official at the March 3 meeting.
Commissioner Emma Herron made a motion to increase Parker’s salary position for 30 days. The other commissioners agreed, but removed the 30-day limit.
The board also approved their upcoming audit by accounting firm Moss Adams and amended the motion to include a forensic analysis of the former CEO’s company credit card use, from the start of 2015.
The disposal of surplus equipment was also approved at the meeting and discussion on executive compensation survey proposals was tabled until the next month’s meeting.
The board of commissioners’ next public meeting will be 6:30 p.m. at the Snoqualmie City Hall on Thursday, May 5.
