Lake Sammamish State Park welcomes Parkadilly event

Parkadilly at Lake Sammamish is a free kid's concert and fair will introduce children and grown-ups to a wide variety of outdoor activities, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Lake Sammamish State Park.

Very young children can try the YMCA’s outdoor obstacle course, enjoy story times and navigate Eastside Audubon’s nature scavenger hunt with their parents. Activities for older children include earning (and learning) a Junior Ranger badge after exploring the plants, animals, insects and amphibians in the park, plus REI’s wilderness survival workshop for kids, offered at 2 or 3 p.m. There will also be a trampoline, track and field events, print making and easel painting.

Food and drink vendors will be on site.

The main stage will feature Bollywood dancers and acrobatic yoga instructors, plus Eli Rosenblatt at 1:30 p.m., Recess Monkey at 2:30 and Mikey Mike at 3:30.

Parkadilly is hosted by Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park. Proceeds will benefit the $1.1 million all-access destination playground under construction. Park admission is $10/car or with annual Discover Pass.
