Snoqualmie Railroad Days will be hosting the first annual Arts at the Depot, an expo featuring many well-known and up-and-coming local artists.

Preparing a number of pieces dedicated to the theme of Railroad Days, the artists took a tour of the Northwest Railway Museum train yard

That visit gave them some inspiration for new works for the weekend festival, said Mei-Lan Hom, coordinator of visual arts for Snoqualmie Valley ARTS.

Besides established local artists, there will be works by Snoqualmie newcomers, “who are excited to be included,” Hom said.

Arts at the Depot includes artworks depicting landscapes and Mount Si, pottery, weaving and stitchery, demonstrations and artifacts from the Snoqualmie sister city of Gangin, Korea.
