High water on the Snoqualmie; King County flood center opens

The King County Flood Warning Center opened late Sunday evening, Jan. 29, as persistent rainfall brought flows on the Snoqualmie River up to a Phase II flood alert level.
According to floodzilla, the Snoqualmie River crested at the Falls at nearly 12 feet at 3:30 a.m. Monday. Flood stage is 13 feet.
In the Lower Valley, the river is expected to crest at 53.5 feet at 4 p.m. today. Flood stage is 54 feet.
Such river levels mean high water over Neal Road and other low-lying areas of the Valley.
Flood Warning Center staff will monitor stream gages and weather reports, and will provide updated information on river conditions as necessary. Real-time river level information is available online at http://www.kingcounty.gov/flood.
