Mount Si took on Inglemoor and O’Dea last week in double dual wrestling action to start the season.

Kyle Heath pinned both of his opponents at 103 pounds, followed by teammate Jacob Lund who pinned his Inglemoor opponent then won by forfeit at 112 pounds.

At 119 pounds, Joe Taklo lost 5-4 to his Inglemoor opponent then pinned the wrestler from O’Dea. At 125 pounds, Mike Montgomery defeated his Inglemoor opponent 11-3 the lost to the O’Dea wrestler 12-9.

Dan Wright had great matches at 130 pounds defeating both opponents 13-5 and 15-11. At 140 pounds, Jay Dochnahl was pinned by both opponents and at 145 pounds, Tyler O’Brian also lost to both opponents.

Also at 145 pounds, Dan Neilson pinned the Inglemoor wrestler and then was tech falled by the O’Dea wrestler. Casey Metzger also wrestled for Mount Si at 145 pounds and was pinned by the Inglemoor wrestler and defeated by tech-fall from the O’Dea wrestler.

At 160 pounds, Dereck Hanneman lost to Inglemoor but defeated the O’Dea wrestler.

Mac Donnell lost to the Inglemoor wrestler, also at 160 pounds but defeated the O’Dea wrestler. Pano Dreves, wrestling at 171 pounds, pinned his Inglemoor wrestler then lost to the O’Dea wrestler 8-5.

Jack Stinnett lost to his Inglemoor wrestler 17-1 but came back and pinned his O’Dea wrestler at 189 pounds.

Finally, at 215 pounds, Trevor Moore pinned both his opponents. Dex Moetulvi beat his Inglemoor opponent 5-2 then pinned the O’Dea wrestler and Jeff Chapman won both his matches.


Gymnasts take on Bellevue      

In their first home meet of the season the Mount Si gymnastics team took on Bellevue last week, losing to the Wolverines 155.550 to 140.800.

In the vault, Katie Osiadazz took third with a score of 8.1, Casey Stinnett took fifth with a score of 7.9, Alisha Fischer took seventh with a score of 7.8, Sarah Lewis took eighth with a score of 7.75, Sam Baldwin took ninth with a score of 7.6 and Jill Buck took 14th with a score of 7.1.

On the bars, Stinnett took fifth with a score of 6.2, Osiadazc took sixth with a score of 6.0, Lewis took ninth with a score of 5.7, Fischer took tenth with a score of 5.5, Buck took 11th with a score of 5.3, Holly Borroff took 12th with a score of 5.1, Baldwin took 12th with a score of 3.5 and Tiera Welsh took 14th with a score of 3.0.

On the beam, Osiadacz took sixth with a score of 7.7, Baldwin took eigth with a score of 7.25, Lewis took tenth with a score of 7.1, Courtney Rambo took 11th Fischer took 14th with a score of 6.0.

For the floor routine, Osiadacz took third with a score of 8.1 followed by Fischer who took fifth with a score of 7.9. Lewis took sixth with a score of 7.8, Stinett took seventh with a score of 7.7, Borroff took tenth with a score of 6.6, Baldwin took 11th with a score of 6.5 and Rambo took 12th with a score of 6.4.

Overall, Osiadacz took fifth with a score of 29.9, Lewis took sixth with a score of 28.350, Stinnett took seventh with a score of 28.0, Fischer took eighth with a score of 27.2 and Baldwin took ninth with a score of 22.2. to round out the top ten.
