Fire district seeks voters to write ballot measure pro-con statements

King County Fire District 27, covering Fall City, will submit a ballot measure for the Nov. 8 general election, requesting voter approval of an excess levy. The purpose of the levy is to maintain the current level of fire protection and emergency medical services in the district.
As part of the election process, the district is looking for individuals interested in forming committees to write the statements for and against the ballot measure. These statements appear in the voter pamphlets, along with a description of the ballot measure.
Participants must be registered voters, living within the fire district.
Submit letters of interest in the committees to the district office by 5 p.m. Monday, July 11. Letters should be addressed to the Board of Commissioners at King County Fire District 27, PO Box 609, Fall City, WA 98024, or sent by email to king27@nwlink.com.
