Police responded to 12 instances of car prowls and theft last week and have issued a warning to citizens to lock their vehicles. All of the car prowls resulted in stolen items because the doors were left unlocked.
The Snoqualmie Police Department recommends the community be vigilant in protecting their property. They advised to lock vehicle doors at all times, to not leave valuables in view through the windows, and to not leave a GPS or any wires sticking out.
Parking in garages or well lit area can help and if you can’t removing your garage door opener from the car can ensure protection of your home in the case of theft.
To report any instances of car theft or prowling contact the Snoqualmie Police Department at (425) 888-3333.
