Easton comes alive with Memorial Day weekend celebration

The small town of Easton may seem quiet with not much going on, but one day each year, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, the town comes alive with a Memorial Day parade and community event.
This tradition was started in 1991 by a handful of volunteers who wanted to draw the community together. People come from all over the state and beyond to take part in this event.
This year’s event will include a car show and motorcycle show. There will also be a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m., a street fair starting at 10 a.m., the noon parade and a singing competition at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
