Mount Si High School’s digital arts teacher Joe Dockery has received the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE) 2016 Eric Jensen Award. The NCCE honored Dockery at the 45th annual NCCE education technology conference with the Eric Jensen award for providing leadership for the NCCE and its members.

Heidi Rogers, executive director and CEO of the NCCE, said in a press release that Dockery is able to encourage not only students, but teachers and staff as well, to excel in the classroom.

“I just don’t know if Joe realizes what a positive impact he has when he presents at our events,” Rogers said in a press release. “He is definitely extraordinary and I feel very fortunate that he continues to be an active member for NCCE.”

Dockery also received praise from other educators who cited his workshop sessions as “must attend” events.
