Local singer supports Fire Fund

North Bend singer-songwriter Michele McNany is donating a portion of proceeds from song downloads to the Northwest Fire Fund.

Singer/songwriter Michele McNany has released three new singles on her new CD, “It’s Never Too Late”.

One song in particular has a special meaning for her, “Washington is Burning.” A recent relocation from Portland to North Bend as well as her work in marketing in the food industry  have made her involved and aware of the fire season.

“This year it came really close to home”, she said, which inspired her to write “Washington is Burning,” a tribute to firefighters, EMTs and police.

For each download of “Washington is Burning,” a portion of the contribution will go to the Northwest Fire Fund.
