The city of Snoqualmie’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Railroad Park, 7971 Railroad Ave. S.E. See the tree light up, visit with Santa in the gazebo, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, warm up with hot cocoa, apple cider, and cookies and enjoy the sounds of the Sno-Valley Winds as they play traditional holiday music.

Horse-drawn carriage rides will be at two locations: Railroad Park on King Street and the corner of Falls Avenue and River Street adjacent to Carmichael’s True Value.

To join in the spirit of giving, please bring non-perishable food items to contribute to the Encompass Respectful Giving Campaign, which will benefit local households in need during the holiday season.

A downtown Merchant Holiday Open House is 4 to 8 p.m. on the same day.

Visit the stores and restaurants downtown for complimentary treats, hot beverages, an art exhibit, live music, food tasting buffets, and coupon specials for a little holiday shopping.

For more information about the annual holiday tree lighting and events, please call (425) 831-5784 or (425) 396-5430.

This holiday event is sponsored by the City of Snoqualmie Parks & Recreation Department and the Snoqualmie Ridge Residential Owners Association. The horse-drawn carriage rides are sponsored by Carmichael’s True Value and The Cascade Team.
