A 51-year-old Carnation man escaped serious injury in a collision Sunday afternoon, but the 37-year-old Redmond man whose motorcycle crashed into him was not as lucky.
The cyclist, according to a Washington State Patrol report, was transported to Harborview with serious injuries after he was thrown from his motorcycle, which was totaled in the accident.
At about 2:21 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, the Carnation man was driving southbound on S.R. 203, just south of Northeast 124th Street. The motorcyclist was northbound on 203, when he reportedly crossed over the center line, lost control of his motorcycle and hit the guardrail, where he was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle continued northbound in the southbound lane, where it collided with the truck.
Drugs or alcohol were reportedly a factor in the accident.
