Mud runs come to Carnation’s Remlinger Farms

Carnation’s Remlinger Farms will again host two 5K runs this year, following the popular trend of muddy, wet, obstacle courses, with victory parties to follow.
The first is the Survivor Mud Run, Saturday, June 2. This event is, according to the website, “3.47 hellish miles” of mud and obstacles, climbs and drops, plus a mystery challenge near the end of the course. Nearly 4,000 people are expected for the event, which will take place on non-sensitive areas of the farm. . Cost is $67, which includes a Survivor T-shirt and medal.

The second event, called Hell Run, is Saturday, Sept. 15, also at the farm. The 3.15-mile course features 12 obstacles, and a victory party featuring Tone Loc. Participants receive a Hell Run T-shirt and superhero cape.
Hell Run events benefit the LiveStrong organization. Registration deadline is Sept. 9, and the cost is $70. A discount of $20 is available to people who register by July 15, and $10 for those registering by Aug. 15.

Participants must be 14 years old by the day of the event to participate in either race.
